Job Position: : Officer, JAAGO Foundation

Department: Child Welfare Team, Education Program.

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Assist to design JAAGO Foundation school admission process, and participate on admission process to recruit students for JAAGO Foundation School.
  • Develop and update student database mentioning student’s demographical information, dropout rate, attendance rate, academic progress and other relevant information.
  • Taking initiative to reduce student’s absence, dropout rate, irregularity at school
  • Preparing student’s attendance sheet & checking it monthly.
  • Participating to develop student’s report cards and finalizing student’s report cards.
  • Monitoring student’s hygiene, nutrition & health condition and taking proper action if needed.
  • Maintaining inter department communication
  • Keeping record and ensuring stationary distribution, hygiene dissemination, and nutrition dispersion for students.
  • Identify student needs and corporate with others professional staffs to assessing and helping to develop attitude, mental health and to solve learning problem
  • Guiding and counseling the challenging children and parents (if needed)
  • Disbursing students gifts to different branches
  • Arranging sponsor visit, Skype meeting, phone call and any other communication between student & sponsor.
  • Managing monthly birthday charts, thank you charts, cards, letter for sponsors and well-wishers
  • Preparing sponsorship kit and delivering it to Child Welfare Department (CWD)
  • Arranging and managing different events for schools ( internal and external)
  • Providing and sharing student information to other departments of JAAGO Foundation.
  • Continuously update individual skills by attending workshops and training sessions related to child welfare, education or children guidance
  • Providing training to project officer & community officer
  • Participating in events of JAAGO Foundation
  • Visit different branches of JAAGO Foundation schools

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum graduate in any discipline.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.

Salary Range:

  • Monthly BDT 18, 000 – 22,000

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Facilitate mutual understanding between organizations and the public.
  • Handling media inquiries, issuing press releases and gaining press coverage for these releases.
  • Work collaboratively with the other team members to understand and promote their respective events and programs.
  • Prepare a guideline for the team members of their day to day work related to different sectors in media and communications.
  • Plan, schedule and update the PR & Publications related information’s.
  • Plan and direct events designed to improve relations with the community, and coordinate public appearances for organizations executives.
  • Research ideal locations for promotion, prepare staff and inform the media of the event.
  • Update the events calendar on JAAGO Foundation website.
  • Create, edit, and publish the organization’s monthly newsletter.
  • Communicate with various in-house departments about the organization’s initiatives related to PR & Publications.
  • Assist with distribution and pitching of press materials to the media; tracks and maintains media coverage; updates media database and additional contact lists; and helps qualify and fulfill media requests.
  • Disseminate press information to all internal and external contacts.


Education & Experience:

  • Masters with minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant field.


Additional Job Requirements:

  • Have excellent communication skills both in English & Bangla
  • Have good Writing Skill in Bangla and English.
  • Have good computer skills in Google Drive, Microsoft Office and Presentation tools.
  • Have good understanding of the youth communication tools and current affairs.
  • Has to be proactive, self-motivating and hardworking.


Salary Range:

  • Preserve and promote Volunteer for Bangladesh among Districts.
  • Operate & monitor concern Districts social media.
  • Organize new project of District level.
  • Create a bridge among Divisional & District board with management.
  • Empower Divisional board & engage them for develop every District.
  • Give a clear idea about Volunteer for Bangladesh to the volunteers.
  • Make a plan for every District according to the attitude & environment of that District.
  • Find out the problem & solution in every District.
  • Make a report regarding on District status and submit it at the end of every month.

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in any subject of Social Sciences/Business Studies.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the field of event management or public relation.

  • Interpreting the organization needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
  • Generating graphical content for social media meeting clients or account managers to discuss the organizations objectives and requirements.
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to viewers or observers.
  • Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design(CAD)
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Contributing ideas and design at work to the overall brief.
  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches.
  • Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, freehand, illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds max, acrobat, director, Dreamweaver and flash.
  • Developing interactive design.
  • Commissioning illustrators and photographers.
  • Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists.

Education & Experience:

  • Fine Arts/Diploma in Graphic Designs or related subject with 2 years’ experience.
