IOM visits JAAGO

Recently International Organization for Migration Dhaka, International Organisation Migration Seoul along with Korea Telecom (KT) came to visit our Rayer Bazar-based Online Teachers’ Center from where a group of qualified, trained teachers take the daily scheduled classes of all our online schools, nationwide.

They were very excited where some of them had the meet & greet with the students through Online School. Among them, we had the presence of Peppi Siddique, Omar Faruque and Sukhee Chai – IOM Bangladesh, Ryung Shim and Youlan No – International Organization for Migration Seoul, Okdong Yoo and Yina Ho – KT. The visiting team-members took a detail tour of our core online-school operations to experience the Online School experience and progress; where they were very much impressed of how we are spreading education to the rural parts of Bangladesh with help of latest Information & Communication Technology.

We are thankful to Ms. Peppi Siddique and Omar Faruque from IOM Dhaka for coordinating the visit. As of today, JAAGO Foundation has total 13 schools of which, 10 are Online Schools established around 10 districts throughout the country in association with Grameenphone and Agni Systems Limited. Around 2,200 under-privileged children are being enlightened with quality education.
