Fifteen students of the senior batch of class 9 and class 7 of JAAGO Foundation recently visited the workplace of ‘Thomas Edison!’. This trip was proposed by one of JAAGO’s very own sponsor parent, Mr. Sartaj Bhuiyan, Director of Strategy at GE (General Electric).
This was definitely, one of a kind field trip where they were graciously welcomed by the management on arrival. The excitement, their aspirations clearly showed in their sparkling eyes by just being able to be present in such a prestigious organization. Moreover, the ambiance of the office was filed with much liveliness and excitement as a test series of cricket was going on between #BANvsENG at the same time. Both the children and the employees thoroughly enjoyed glimpses of the game and cheered for the winning Bangladesh team. The students interacted with individual employee, where they shared numerous thoughts on each other’s work process and academic proceedings. This experience aspired them to “Dream Big” and belief that with hard work they can achieve anything and can become anyone they want. They were inspired to a level that, one of the senior student took an interest by getting guidance and inspiration of their own dream of becoming CA, marine engineer etc.
The whole atmosphere radiated a feel where they had a glimpse of the real corporate world and made each individual crave for more of such en-lighted scenario. The trip ended with beautiful smiles on everyone’s face from this learning experience and exhilarating win from the Bangladesh team.
