JAAGO on BBC Asian Network

Our Founder Korvi Rakshand let it all hang out about JAAGO during an interview on Wednesday at The BBC Asian Network Radio Show hosted by Nihal. During his appearance, Korvi Rakshand took the opportunity to express his utmost passion for educating underprivileged children of Bangladesh to break the cycle of poverty through quality education. He also revealed how we all can Sponsor A Child with only £18/month and help all these children have a brighter future.

Adding to that, he couldn’t resist mentioning of the new hope created right in the heart of UK, for the underprivileged children in Bangladesh, JAAGO Foundation UK. Thanks to a bunch of passionate volunteers from UK, who visited the JAAGO Foundation Rayer Bazar School, based in Dhaka’s largest slum area, and were very much inspired by the opportunities made available to underprivileged children. That is how JAAGO Foundation UK was founded by a group of young, like-minded individuals based in London. Having visited Bangladesh and witnessed the deprivation and child poverty across the country these young souls felt compelled to take action for the betterment of these children’s future . Their relentless efforts to create smiles for these impoverished kids, has finally brought JAAGO Foundation UK to life and waiting eagerly to launch its journey with their own website.

“All children should get quality education,” Korvi said. “We have to stand up from where we are and take initiatives on our own to educate these underprivileged children. They must have a chance to build a brighter future that will take our country to the next level of prosperity.”
