JAAGO Women Scholarship Program

Across the globe, women and girls encounter formidable challenges that hinder their access to fundamental rights, education, and equality. These challenges manifest in various forms, from child and forced marriages and gender-based violence to discriminatory laws and barriers to educational and occupational opportunities. Recognizing the transformative power of education, we acknowledge that investing in girls’ education is not merely a fulfilment of basic rights but a cornerstone for elevating literacy rates, eradicating human trafficking, fostering women’s political representation, advancing societal equality, and reducing poverty.

“JAAGO Women Scholarship” is a collaborative initiative of U-Go and JAAGO Foundation, committed to dismantling the financial barriers that prevent underprivileged girls from accessing education. This program is designed to support meritorious but economically disadvantaged female students, enabling them to pursue higher education and contribute meaningfully to society. Under this scholarship, selected female students from public universities will receive a four-year scholarship that offers up to BDT 2,50,000 to support their educational journey.

In empowering these young women, we invest not only in their futures but also in the broader societal good, laying the foundation for a world where gender disparities in education and opportunity are relics of the past.

Launched in 2022, the JAAGO Women Scholarship has been awarded to 276 meritorious young women in two cohorts. To know more about the awardees, click the button below.
