Southeastern Bangladesh is currently enduring a devastating flood crisis due to continuous heavy rainfall and the rising levels of rivers. Regions of Feni, Comilla, and Noakhali are among the hardest hit, where entire communities have been cut off as roads and highways are submerged, leaving over 1.5 million people stranded.
Rivers like the Gumti, Muhuri, Kahua, Halda, Khowai, Kushiyara, and Dhalai have all risen to dangerous levels due to continuous rainfall. The flood crisis has also reached regions such as Khagrachari, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, and Brahmanbaria. With more rain expected, the situation is only set to worsen. Power outages, treacherous river currents, and a lack of food and clean water have plunged these communities into a dire state. Homes, farmlands, and fish ponds have been ravaged, leading to immense losses. This is one of the most severe flooding events Bangladesh has faced in years.
JAAGO Foundation is stepping in to provide critical relief in these flood-stricken areas. Through our youth wing, Volunteer for Bangladesh, we are distributing dry foods and providing medical assistance in Feni, Comilla, and Noakhali regions. Once the waters recede, our volunteers will work tirelessly to rehabilitate the affected families.
You can be a part of this life-saving effort. Your generous donations, no matter how small, can bring hope and relief to families who have lost everything. This is a moment for unity—let’s come together to help save Bangladesh.
