- Position Title: Technical Officer (Lama)

Position Summary
JAAGO seeks qualified Technical Officer candidate for an international donor-funded project for indigenous children, which will address the most pressing needs of marginalized children, and to provide improved access to education services for out-of-school children. The Technical Officer will be responsible for all aspects of professional development of the project staffs including Community teachers, facilitators, and volunteers. The Technical Officer is expected to identify gap and conduct capacity development workshop/training for the project staff This position reports to and works most closely with the Upazila Coordinator (Primary), M&E Officer (Secondary) and Project Manager (Tertiary).
Only citizens of Bangladesh or residents with work authorization will be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- To ensure the professional development of the teachers, facilitators and volunteers in line with the project plans.
- To prepare an effective monthly work plan and implement it accordingly.
- To support teacher and staff training.
- To supervise POs and provide technical support related to educational approaches.
- To supervise and monitor the Learning Centers, identify the weaknesses & gaps, take initiatives to improve and keep all concerned updated.
- To conduct dialogue with parents, community, and other stakeholders.
- To attend the relevant meetings and present Friendship initiatives to the audience.
- To provide technical and logistic support to the staff and teachers.
- To ensure timely monthly, quarterly and final programmatic reports.
- To keep liaisons with relevant NGOs, GOB officials, and education/child protection-related organizations for effective program implementation and enhancement of the quality.
- To provide monthly requisition for materials.
- Support in creating and reviewing tests and assessment tools.
- To be ready to work in any circumstance or emergency.
- To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Education:
- University degree in Education, teaching, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in training and professional development.
Others:
- Good computer knowledge (Microsoft office, Typing (Both English and Bangla).
