Ramon Magsaysay Award 2023

Korvi Rakshand, founder of JAAGO Foundation, has been honoured with the Ramon Magsaysay Award 2023 in the Emergent Leadership category on August 31, 2023. It is often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of Asia,” the award recognizes exceptional contributions in various fields, from public service to social innovation.

Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2022

The “Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2022” was given to Mr. Korvi Rakshand, Founder and Director of JAAGO Foundation at an event held at Osmani Smriti Auditorium. Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel, State Minister for the Ministry of Youth and Sports presented the award on behalf of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who attended the programme virtually from Ganabhaban.

Commonwealth Points of Light Award 2021

Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II, as Head of the Commonwealth, named Korvi Rakshand as the 181st Commonwealth Point of Light in recognition of his extraordinary initiatives to engage the youth of Bangladesh in volunteering on May 21st, 2021. Points of Light recognizes outstanding individual volunteers in 54 Commonwealth nations – people who make a difference in their communities.

UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Award 2016

JAAGO Foundation was acknowledged with the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Award for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Education in 2016. The award was handed over to Mr. Rakshand by Ms. Irina Bokova- Director General, UNESCO at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. It was the first time that a Bangladeshi organization got recognized by UNESCO.

Global Development Network 2015

In 2015, Mr. Korvi Rakshand received an award organized by the Global Development Network from the Japanese Ministry of Finance for the concept of Online Schooling being the “Most Innovative Development Project” of that year.

In 2010, HRH King Charles awarded Mr. Korvi Rakshand with the Mosaic International Award for his work at the JAAGO Foundation towards the underprivileged children of Bangladesh. This award was handed over to Mr. Rakshand by HRH Princess of Jordan, Princess Badiyabint El Hassan.
