Position Summary

JAAGO Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and proactive Center Assistant- Logistics to provide administrative support for the “Shopner Sharothi” project under the Girls Education and Skills Partnership (GESP), specifically focusing on the Skills on Wheels component. Under this component a mobile training center (a transformed bus with all necessary training opportunities) will help us reach the remote upazilas of Cox’s Bazar & Bandarban districts directly, providing a continuous and stable learning environment. This initiative aims to empower adolescent girls and young women in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban. The Center Assistant- Logistics will play a crucial role in assisting the Trainer with the daily operations of the Skills on Wheels training center, providing administrative support, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for participants.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with education or community service, and a commitment to empowering young women through skills development. The Center Assistant Logistics will work closely with the Trainer to provide day to day logistic support, purchasing Training related supplies. This role will enhance the overall training experience within the Skills on Wheels component, contributing to the program’s success and impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing Training events, workshops, providing administrative support and purchasing training related supplies to the Skills on Wheels initiative.
  • Identify and report any challenges or issues that arise during training sessions to the Trainer and Admin Officer for timely resolution.
  • Facilitate effective communication among participants, trainers, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
  • Ensure a conducive learning environment by maintaining the training center’s organization, cleanliness, and availability of necessary resources.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for enhancing the training program and overall participant experience.
  • Regularly update the Admin officer on operational Challenges and any challenges faced.

Qualifications

Education: HSC or Equivalent.

Experience:The applicants must have 1 -2 years of working experience in providing administrative support and managing logistics.

Skills and other competencies

  • Strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Having Bus driving skills will be considered an added advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with diverse groups.
  • Basic writing and reading skills, responsible communication Bangla and Local Language.
  • Ability to work under high pressure in unstable and frequently changing contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively interact with all levels of staff and partners.
  • Familiarity with Safeguarding is essential.
  • Having Bus Driving experience in Hilly areas is a plus.
