Education Coordinator (Teachers' Supervisor), Digital School Program
Position Summary
JAAGO Foundation has several schools in rural areas where teachers based in Dhaka deliver classes virtually. We are looking for an experienced and organised Education Coordinator to supervise these teachers and monitor the smooth operation of the schools. The Coordinator will ensure that online lessons are effective, teachers are supported, and students in rural communities receive quality education.
Job ResponsibilitiesMonitoring & Quality Assurance (40%)
- Review lesson plans and teaching materials to ensure effective learning activities.
- Observe classes virtually to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor records/documentation of planned activities and provide progress reports, especially for students needing extra support.
- Check test/assessment results regularly and suggest improvement plans.
Teacher Support & Development (30%)
- Guide teachers in improving lesson delivery, class management, and student engagement.
- Provide feedback and training support where needed.
- Ensure teachers follow academic policies and standards.
Student Progress & Academic Performance (20%)
- Track academic results and the overall performance of students.
- Identify struggling students and coordinate support strategies with teachers.
- Ensure timely reporting of progress to management.
Administration & Coordination (10%)
- Coordinate with school management and academic teams to ensure smooth operation.
- Support in implementing policies, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Maintain communication across all the schools.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A major in English or Education will get preference.
Experience:
- Experience in teaching in the Bangladeshi curriculum (English version) in the Secondary section will be an advantage. Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills both in English & Bangla (Speaking and Writing);
- Have the leadership skills to motivate and manage teachers;
- Have excellent knowledge of the Secondary school curriculum;
- Has to be proactive, self-motivating and hardworking;
- Ability to work under pressure.
