Education Supervisor, Digital School Program, JAAGO Foundation
Position Summary
We seek a passionate and experienced Education Supervisor to lead the academic development of students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 across the eleven schools of JAAGO Foundation. The supervisor will ensure the effective delivery of the NCTB English Version curriculum across all subjects, with a special focus on strengthening the foundational learning of English, Bangla, and Mathematics. This role combines instructional leadership, teacher development, and data-driven academic management to foster a high-quality, inclusive, and child-centred learning environment that promotes both cognitive and personal growth.
Job Responsibilities
Curriculum Management:
- Ensure the effective implementation of the NCTB English Version curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 5 across all subjects.
- Oversee curriculum planning, lesson sequencing, and instructional alignment to ensure smooth learning progression from Pre-Primary to Primary levels.
- Develop and refine lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools, with a particular focus on strengthening English, Bangla, and Mathematics.
- Integrate child-centred, activity-based, and play-based learning methodologies across all subjects.
Teacher Support & Development:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Education Coordinators and Teachers across all subjects, helping them enhance instructional quality and confidence.
- Design and conduct need-based training programmes to improve classroom management, lesson delivery, and assessment.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to strengthen instructional practices.
- Mentor teachers to adopt inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies for students of varying learning abilities.
Student Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyse student performance data across all subjects to identify progress and learning gaps.
- Guide Education Coordinators and Teachers in identifying and addressing learning gaps.
- Lead the design and implementation of formative and summative assessments for the Pre-Primary and Primary sections.
Teacher Recruitment:
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of qualified and dedicated Education Coordinators and Teachers for Kindergarten to Grade 5.
- Work with the HR team to identify and select high-performing educators for the school.
Communication & Coordination:
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between Education Coordinators, Teachers, and school management to ensure academic consistency.
- Engage parents and caregivers to strengthen home–school collaboration for student learning.
- Represent the education team in school meetings, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
Safeguarding and Gender Sensitiveness:
- Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment across all schools.
- Ensure that all supervised staff understand and adhere to JAAGO Foundation’s Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
- Incorporate gender-sensitive, equitable, and culturally responsive approaches in teaching and supervision practices.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, Bangla, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experiences:
- Minimum 5 years of teaching or supervisory experience in Primary education.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven expertise in teacher development, academic supervision, or curriculum implementation.
- Strong understanding of early childhood and primary pedagogy, particularly in foundational literacy and numeracy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and mentoring skills.
- Expertise in early-grade learning, with an emphasis on English, Bangla, and Mathematics.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate teachers to achieve high instructional standards.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and interactive teaching methodologies.
- Compassionate, adaptable, and inclusive leadership style that supports teacher growth and student success.
