Position Summary

JAAGO Foundation is looking for a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Senior Youth Coordinator within the Youth Development Program (YDP). This role involves supervising Youth Coordinators and providing strategic guidance to ensure effective execution of youth programs and Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) initiatives. The Senior Youth Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various office projects, coordinating volunteer efforts, and managing responses to emergency situations as needed. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision and Leadership of Youth Coordinators 

  • Direct Supervision and Guidance: 
    • Supervise and support Youth Coordinators in their roles, providing direction and ensuring alignment with JAAGO’s mission and objectives.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with Youth Coordinators to monitor progress, address challenges, and encourage professional development.
    • Evaluate the performance of Youth Coordinators, offering constructive feedback and setting clear goals to enhance program delivery. 

2. Project Planning and Implementation 

  • Strategic Planning and Monitoring: 
    • Review project budgets, targets, and key performance indicators to ensure effective project planning and resource allocation.
    • Develop and distribute communication materials that align with project objectives, ensuring clarity and consistency.
    • Plan and organize capacity-building workshops and other training sessions for youth participants, focusing on skill development.
  • Implementation and Oversight: 
    • Work closely with supervisors, managers, and other departments to coordinate project implementation across divisions.
    • Regularly assess project progress, addressing any deviations from milestones and communicating updates to key stakeholders.
  • Project Management & Compliance: 
    • Oversee the procurement and contract management processes in compliance with JAAGO’s standards and legal requirements.
    • Implement project management procedures to enable effective tracking and reporting of program outcomes. 

3. Communication and Partnerships

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: 
    • Facilitate partnerships with Volunteer for Bangladesh, local university clubs, and youth organizations to expand program outreach and impact.
    • Support the Volunteer for Bangladesh network in schools, colleges, and universities, engaging students and faculty across various districts.
  • Event Coordination and Representation: 
    • Plan and manage national and local events for JAAGO Foundation in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental partners.
    • Conduct district visits to engage directly with Youth Coordinators and volunteers, strengthening local support networks.
  • Relationship Management: 
    • Serve as a bridge between National, Divisional, and District Committees of Volunteer for Bangladesh, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
    • Maintain strong relationships with youth leaders to support their growth and engagement within the organization. 

4. Networking and Stakeholder Relations 

  • Travel and Community Outreach: 
    • Travel within the division as needed to meet with local stakeholders, conduct training sessions, and build relationships. Approximately 35% travel is expected for this role. ○ Establish and nurture relationships with community members, local authorities, and organizational partners to support youth initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline 

Experiences

  • 1 to 3 years of professional and volunteer experience

Additional Requirements 

  • Age 22 to 30 years.
