Senior Youth Coordinator
Position Summary
JAAGO Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Youth Coordinator to join our Youth Development Program (YDP). The Senior Youth Coordinator will supervise Youth Coordinators, ensuring the effective implementation of youth programs. She will play a crucial role in overseeing the activities of Youth Coordinators and contributing to the overall success of the YDP. This position requires someone passionate about youth empowerment, capable of leading and mentoring a dynamic team, and exhibiting strong leadership and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Supervision and Management
- Oversee the activities and performance of Youth Coordinators.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure program goals are met.
Program Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement capacity-building workshops and training programs for youth.
- Regularly review project progress and make necessary adjustments to achieve milestones.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Communication and Networking
- Foster collaboration and partnerships with Volunteer for Bangladesh, local university clubs, and other youth organizations.
- Expand the Volunteer for Bangladesh network in schools, colleges, and universities.
- Arrange and coordinate local and national programs and events, engaging with government and non-government stakeholders.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Ensure efficient project management procedures are in place for accurate reporting and monitoring.
- Collect and report impact data related to the project, guided by the M&E Manager.
Safeguarding
- Uphold and promote the organization’s safeguarding policies to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults engaged in our activities.
- Immediately report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents of safeguarding breaches in line with the organization’s reporting procedures.
- Maintain professional boundaries and conduct that fosters a safe and respectful environment for all beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both Bangla and English.
- 1 to 3 years of professional and volunteer experience working with youth.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and networking abilities.
- Basic knowledge of office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
