Position Summary 

JAAGO Foundation is seeking a dedicated Youth Coordinator for the Youth Development Program (YDP). The Youth Coordinator will play a key role in implementing youth-focused projects and supporting the activities of Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) at the local level. This position requires effective communication, project management skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, educational institutions, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Project Implementation and Coordination 

  • Support Program Delivery: 
    • Coordinate the implementation of YDP activities within assigned districts, ensuring alignment with JAAGO’s objectives and standards.
    • Assist in organizing capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and other events for youth participants.
    • Oversee project timelines, monitor progress, and report any issues to the Senior Youth Coordinator for timely resolution.
  • Event Management: 
    • Plan and manage local events and activities, including volunteer training, youth engagement programs, and community outreach.
    • Collaborate with educational institutions, local authorities, and community organizations to facilitate successful events and maximize outreach. 

2. Volunteer Management and Development 

  • Engage and Support Volunteers: 
    • Recruit, train, and support volunteers within Volunteer for Bangladesh, fostering a sense of community and purpose.
    • Maintain regular communication with volunteers to ensure they have the resources and guidance needed to contribute effectively.
  • Team Building and Motivation: 
    • Create a positive and supportive environment for volunteers, recognizing and celebrating their contributions.
    • Work closely with volunteers to develop their skills and encourage ongoing personal and professional growth. 

3. Communication and Stakeholder Relations 

  • Collaboration and Networking: 
    • Build relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and other community organizations to expand the reach of VBD initiatives.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for community members, educational institutions, and other local stakeholders regarding YDP activities.
  • Engagement and Reporting: 
    • Maintain clear and timely communication with the Senior Youth Coordinator, providing updates on program progress and challenges.
    • Prepare regular reports on activities, participation, and outcomes to support JAAGO’s impact assessment.

4. Administrative and Logistical Support 

  • Resource Management: 
    • Ensure all necessary materials, resources, and logistics are in place for each event and activity.
    • Coordinate with the Senior Youth Coordinator to manage project budgets and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Compliance and Documentation: 
    • Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, volunteer hours, and program expenditures.
    • Adhere to JAAGO’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all organizational standards.

Education

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline 

Experiences

  • 1 to 3 years of professional and volunteer experience

Additional Requirements 

  • Age 22 to 35 years
