On January 12, 2026, German Embassy officials paid a special visit to JAAGO Foundation School, Korail branch. H.E. Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, the German Ambassador to Bangladesh, graced the occasion. The visit was filled with warmth, enthusiasm, and meaningful exchanges that left everyone inspired.
The day began with a heartfelt welcome, where students greeted Dr. Lotz with an Uttorio, a traditional gesture of respect. The students' excitement was palpable as they gathered to share the unique story of their school, their learning journeys, and the ways JAAGO Foundation is making a difference. As part of the visit, our students presented handmade arts and crafts as tokens of appreciation for their esteemed guests from the German Embassy. The guests were truly moved by the creativity and thoughtfulness behind each piece.
Dr. Lotz was then given a tour of the school by one of our students, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere and the varied classrooms from Reception to Class 10. In every class, students performed songs, recitations, and engaged in insightful conversations about education and knowledge sharing. Dr. Lotz took the time to connect with each student, asking questions and providing valuable insights into how they could further their education in Germany.
A highlight of the visit was a digital exchange with the students from our Rangpur branch, which allowed them to interact with Dr. Lotz in real time. This connection demonstrated the power of technology in bringing our students closer to global opportunities and knowledge.
To conclude the visit, JAAGO offered traditional pithas, a beloved local delicacy, which were greatly enjoyed by everyone. The day ended with a photo session to capture the beautiful moments shared between the Ambassador, the students, and the teachers.
In a gesture of goodwill, the German Embassy presented eco-friendly pens to the students and beautiful bags for the teachers and staff, underscoring their commitment to sustainability.
This visit marked a truly inspiring day, full of laughter, learning, and a renewed sense of global connection. JAAGO Foundation is deeply grateful to H.E. Dr. Rüdiger Lotz and the German Embassy for their support and for making this day an unforgettable one for our students and community.
