JAAGO Iftar 2025-A Celebration of Unity, Compassion, and Gratitude
Every year, as the sacred month of Ramadan unfolds, JAAGO Foundation upholds its cherished tradition of hosting the much-anticipated JAAGO Iftar—a heartwarming event that brings together students, their sponsor parents, private-sector partners, well-wishers, employees, and volunteers. More than just an annual gathering, it stands as a celebration of love, compassion, and gratitude, offering every member of the JAAGO family a moment to reflect, connect, and share in the spirit of giving.
The JAAGO Iftar 2025 was no exception. It became a powerful testament to the unbreakable bonds that unite this community, reaffirming that where there is a will, there is always a way. Defying geographical distances, we successfully connected 5,000 students from JAAGO Foundation Schools across the country to this special iftar virtually, turning screens into shared experiences and miles into moments of togetherness. It was an evening filled with joy, warmth, and the magic of unity, transcending physical barriers to bring hearts closer than ever.
“I am so excited to be here! Today, I finally get to meet my sponsor parents and break my fast with them. I’ve been counting down the days to this moment!” exclaimed one of our students.
“When I first heard that I would be breaking my fast with my sponsors today, I never imagined it would be this magical. Everything around me feels like a dream—the lights, the laughter, the warmth. I can’t wait to go home and tell my mom all about this unforgettable day!”, said another little angel.
Throughout the event, smiles were exchanged, heartfelt conversations unfolded, cherished memories were created, and new possibilities were unlocked. At its core, this iftar was not just about breaking bread—it was about breaking barriers—barriers of distance, privilege, and opportunity. It served as a reminder of the strength found in unity and the commitment to empowering children through education. More than a meal, it was a display of hope and gratitude, a moment to acknowledge those who continue to stand beside us in our mission.
“The JAAGO Iftar is a truly heartwarming experience. Meeting the children I’ve been supporting, spending time with them, and hearing their stories filled me with a deep sense of fulfillment. It’s incredibly rewarding to not only contribute to their education but to actively be a part of their journey, witnessing the impact firsthand.”, said a child sponsor.
Reflecting on their journey with JAAGO, a child sponsor shared, “I first learned about JAAGO through a colleague. When I decided to sponsor my first child, I was unsure how much of a difference it would truly make—but I took a leap of faith. And JAAGO exceeded every expectation. From my sponsored child’s academic progress to their overall well-being, I was kept informed every step of the way. Seeing her confidence grow, hearing her dreams take shape, and celebrating her achievements made me realize—I had made the right choice. It didn’t just change her life; it changed mine. What started with one child has now grown to six, and my commitment to these children and JAAGO is stronger than ever.”
