Project Summary
This project creates a platform for Bangladeshi youth and young professionals to engage in open discussions, develop critical skills, engage in creative and innovative projects, and exchange ideas, values, and cultures with the people of the United States with the aim of creating people-to-people connections. An inclusive platform for historically underrepresented groups, delivering planned actions through a yearly activity calendar in coordination with the Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh, providing operational systems and support, and developing and executing small grants programs to support PDS policy priorities is created.
This is a powerful initiative designed to uplift and empower marginalized and vulnerable communities. Through the creation of a vibrant youth governance club, knowledge about democratic and governance rights is imparted, while promoting awareness of human rights issues. To foster an entrepreneurial spirit, an incubation centre for budding entrepreneurs, while also delivering training on gender equality to enhance inclusivity, is established. Cultural diversity is celebrated through the observance of national and international cultural days. The innovative Maker Lab is dedicated to the advancement of STEM education, providing exciting opportunities for our youth to develop critical skills for the future. Valuable knowledge on higher education opportunities in the United States is offered and inspiring experience-sharing events with alumni are organized. In addition, we provide exciting courses on videography, photography, and theatre education, as well as arrange exchange programs, workshops, and summer and winter camps to raise awareness of climate change and mental health issues. Finally, massive online courses on 21st-century soft skill development are offered to ensure our youth are well-equipped to succeed in today’s ever-evolving world.
60,000 young people and professionals from Bangladesh, are enabled to interact and share ideas with people from the United States.
