Volunteers Aid Flood Victims

The devastating effects of the flood caused by heavy monsoon rainfall in the Chattogram division were felt far and wide. Homes were submerged, vital infrastructures were damaged, and agricultural lands were inundated. More than 1.2 million people were affected, including the displacement of more than 200,000 people throughout the region. The surging waters not only disrupted daily life but also posed a severe threat to the region’s economy and overall well-being.

United for Relief Volunteers Extend Aid to The Flood Affected

Since the beginning of the crisis, JAAGO Foundation, with the help of our volunteers from Bandarban district have worked tirelessly to provide food, medicine and other necessities to the affected people. Several organisations and individual donors came forward with aid from different parts of the country. To date, we have distributed essential daily food relief to thousands of families and orchestrated safe rescue of 54 students and several families.

Currently, our dedicated volunteers are involved in addressing the post-crisis challenges. As the water levels are declining and people are going back to their homes, the volunteers are helping them shift and repair the damages caused by the flood.
