Position Summary

JAAGO Foundation Trust is seeking two dedicated Training Assistants to support the Shopner Sharothi (Girls Education and Skills Partnership) Project, based in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban. The role is primarily focused on assisting trainers to ensure smooth delivery of skill development and job placement activities for young women and marginalized youth, including supporting learner enrollment, managing logistics for the training center, maintaining accurate documentation, and facilitating job placement activities. The Training Assistants will work closely with trainers and other project staff and will report directly to the Training Center Coordinator, contributing to the effective implementation of the project’s training and employment objectives.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist trainers in delivering skill development and job placement activities for young women and marginalized youth.
  • Support learner enrollment tasks, including mobilization, registration, and orientation of trainees.
  • Manage logistics for the training center, including preparation of training materials, equipment, and organizing training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of attendance, learner progress, training activities, and placement outcomes.
  • Support job placement initiatives, including connecting learners with employment, internships, or income-generating opportunities, and tracking their outcomes.
  • Assist in organizing training-related events, workshops, and placement drives as needed.
  • Report to the Training Center Coordinator and provide timely updates on training, learner progress, and placement activities.

Safeguarding

  • Uphold and promote the organization’s safeguarding policies to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults engaged in our activities.
  • Immediately report any concerns, suspicions, or incidents of safeguarding breaches in line with the organization’s reporting procedures.

  • Maintain professional boundaries and conduct that fosters a safe and respectful environment for all beneficiaries, colleagues, and stakeholders.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of practical experience in supporting training delivery, youth programs, or skill development initiatives.
  • Experience in job placement facilitation, learner support, or community-based training is desirable.
  • Familiarity with working in remote or community-based training settings is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to assist trainers and support learners effectively in classroom and practical sessions.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and ethical practices.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
