JAAGO Women Scholars Connect

JAAGO and U-Go are immensely proud to stand by 550+ extraordinary female public university students through the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program. These young women, brimming with ambition and resilience, are overcoming barriers and shaping their own futures with confidence and determination. To celebrate their incredible journey, we hosted “Bridging Futures: JAAGO Women Scholars Connect”—an inspiring event dedicated to empowerment, mentorship, and boundless possibilities!

This unforgettable event united scholars from across the country with our esteemed partners, Mr John Wood, Founder & CEO, and Mr Tom Monroe, Director of Programs from U-Go. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr Rubana Huq, Vice Chancellor of the Asian University for Women (AUW), and Mr Korvi Rakshand, Executive Director, JAAGO Foundation.

Launched in 2022, the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program was created with a vision to empower bright yet underprivileged female students enrolled in public universities across Bangladesh. More than just financial aid, this program provides monthly stipends, skill development training, and mentorship to equip scholars with the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to excel in their academic and professional journeys.

Reflecting on our commitment to the growth of these future leaders, was the “Bridging Futures: JAAGO Women Scholars Connect” program, where they exchanged stories, shared dreams, and reflected on the profound impact of the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program. The event also focused on strengthening the network between donors and scholars, emphasizing mentorship, career guidance, and leadership opportunities. Scholars gained insights into how they can navigate professional spaces, advocate for themselves, and become role models for future generations of women in Bangladesh.

Education transforms lives, and we are with you every step of the way. Together, we will create a better future for all. Keep learning, keep striving, and never stop believing in yourself.”, said John Wood, Founder & CEO, U-GO

“Education opens doors to endless possibilities, and I deeply understand its value. As a father of two daughters, I know how important it is for girls to have access to education, and I want your dreams to come true.”, said Tom Monroe, Director of Programs, U-GO.

Korvi Rakshand, Executive Director, JAAGO Foundation, added, “This program is a testament to how collective action can transform the lives of young women who would otherwise face immense challenges in their pursuit of higher education.”

Dr. Rubana Huq, Vice Chancellor, Asian University for Women (AUW) said, “We believe in nurturing dreams with resilience, strength, and hope. We must continue to invest in young women’s education and open doors to opportunities that will shape a brighter future for all.”

The JAAGO Women Scholarship Program is more than just financial assistance—it is a movement toward equality, empowerment, and transformation. It allows young women to break free from societal constraints, pursue their passions, and become role models for future generations.

As we move forward, JAAGO remains committed to expanding the reach of this program, supporting more young women, and ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of education. With the continued generosity of U-Go and dedicated donors, this initiative will touch more lives, open more doors, and create a future where every young woman has the opportunity to shine.

Together, we are breaking barriers, building dreams and creating a future where young women rise, lead, and inspire!
